Cambodian Kids on Camera

Volunteer Development Children's Association (VDCA) is an free English language learning center for kids in the Siem Reap area.  After spending the day at their Cambodian public schools, students of all ages converge on VDCA for afternoon and evening classes.  We spent a day volunteering there – chatting with the older students who wanted to practice their English with native speakers, and reading English-language books and playing with the younger kids for whom the school also serves as a sort of after-school resource center.  To their great excitement, we let the kids get behind the camera.  Here are some of their (and our) best shots.
Learning to use Fatty D
Remy, in happier days
(Remy was cam-knapped (pickpocketed) in Ulan Bataar, Mongolia.
We hope you're happy with your new family, wherever you are).
Learning about Australia's deadliest animals (it's a slightly random book collection)
This little girl loved the camera

Reviewing the photos always got laughs
The little kids checked out the older students' English class
Endlessly entertaining: documenting post-lollipop tounge colors
And it's even funnier if you're wearing a lego hat
